HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Haunted house, ghosts, fog and scary noises.
Spiders on the roof.....oh my!

Sam with his little candy friend and the neigbor Eileen.

Both kids had their friends over for a Halloween party. I told them they were too old to Trick or Treat so they partied at home safe and sound. It was a great night, we had lots of cute kids and passed out lots of candy. However, we still have some left over! Arrrgh, it will be going straight to my thighs. lol

GIFT TAKES A CRANE

Arizona Crane Company was called.....

Eileen says goodbye to her hot tub.

Sam and I say hello!

The hot tub completes our backyard.

We recieved the wonderful gift Friday morning and spent the day cleaning it and hooking it up. We filled it and turned it on. The kids, Sam and I have enjoyed it for the last two nights and are very grateful to Eileen for giving us this wonderful hot tub. We feel so spoiled.

OUT WITH THE OLD AND IN WITH THE NEW!

Old yucky looking rv gate.
New beautiful rv gate. Sam and I purchased these custom gates at a yard sale for $100.00 and had them leaning up in the backyard for the last several months. We spent the weekend installing them. Of course Sam had the wonderful idea of running electricity to power coach lights on either side. A couple of planters and trees and look at the result! Each time I drive up I marvel at how different it makes the house look. It was a lot of hard work and each morning I felt like I had a mac truck run over me!

APPROVED!

It's been a while since I have been able to post anything to this blog. I had a variance hearing on the site of the shed and against major odds I was able to get an approval to keep the shed where it is currently located. The city had placed a large pink sign in the front yard announcing the hearing date and when I got home with the approval I posted my own sign over the top of theirs simply stating "APPROVED". I wanted to let whomever turned me in for building it to know that I got it approved. Heck, the rep from the City of Mesa talked the shed up to the board saying it was the nicest shed that has ever crossed his desk and that it was very well built. Thanks Jeff for your support!

ONLY LACEY COULD BEAT THIS DEAL.....

When Sam and I first purchased this tile is was just over $30.00 a case. Home Depot put it on clearance for 50% off making it $15.47 a case. By mistake of the cashier we walked out paying only $5.47 a case! We went to every HD and they priced matched it! we got enough tile to do all of the tile in the house. We even bought enough for when we bump the kitchen out and enlarge it. Woah, I pulled a "Lacey"! lol

THE HOUSE IS LOOKING AMAZING.....

The entire house will have crown molding and 5 1/2 inch baseboards. Look how beautiful he has done the stair casings and crown molding cutbacks.
Easy fix for Sam when it comes to working around registers.

Perfect for someone who was told does he does "shoddy" work. I do believe that was said out of jealousy and not out of truth.

FAMILY ROOM

After months of bare concrete it is great to get the tile down!
Custom paint, crown molding, baseboards, tile and furniture this room is finally complete!

Brian cried "foul" when he and Taylor came in the door from Ohio to find that his favorite couch had been replaced! He LOVED that old couch. It was comfy to sleep on. Many mornings it looked like a litter of puppies were curled up asleep on it

KITCHEN

New paint, crown molding, baseboards and tile! Bye bye linoleum.
Window treatments

We have had the stainless steel appliances for a little while but I would not recommend them for households with kids! They can be high maintenance trying to keep them free of fingerprints.

STAIRWELL AND LANDING

Sam made a plant shelf and wrapped moldings on the stair rails, so PRETTY!
A treasure find! Brass and crystal swan chandelier! Cheap, cheap, cheap at the Habitat for Humanity store. This thing is heavy.

UPSTAIRS HALL BATH

Still a work in progress! Looking for a new vanity, counter and mirror!
New tile, baseboards, crown molding, paint and accessories!

FOURTH OF JULY PARTY!

Thank you Richard and Sheila for opening up your home to celebrate the 4th of July. I thought it was really cool how you decorated with Marines. We all had a great time and it brought everyone together for some fun and laughs.

FROM TEARS OF SADNESS TO TEARS OF LAUGHTER

It began with a hug which made me cry, Brett cry, Sam cry, Sheila cry....lol I am not sure how many dry eyes were at the party.
From tears of great sadness to tears of laughter....oh, the best medicine. I have missed his humor.

DANCING QUEENS

Abby, Sheila and I wax on, wax off....

crazies are missing 2 of their nuts.....

OH! here they are. The missing nuts are busy throwing wet breast pads at one another...can"t take them any where.

IF YOU WERE NOT DANCING.....

You might have been drawing and showing others your sketch book....
or swimming.......

or eating.......well, food, not your fingers!

THIS IS THE LAST GOODBYE BEFORE...

Chad gets deployed. We all celebrated Marine style! We love you Chad

TO ALL THE WONDERFUL FATHERS......

I hope Dad (Larry), Dad (Joe), Sam, Brandon, David and Coury had a wonderful day today and your children let you know how much you are appreciated and loved. Sam decided that he wanted to finish painting the house today.....hmmmmm. lol We started painting it on Mother's Day (my wish) and completed it today! With high winds, work and bad timing it took us all that time to complete. We worked around the house right up to the time we had to meet Mom and Dad at Carrabba's Italian Grill for dinner. It was yummy. We laughed all through dinner and carried it on out to the patio. Mom was art director as she ordered people on and off of the photo bench. I laughed so much and actually had tears a few times from laughing so hard. I wish all my days were like that. Thanks for the wonderful Day.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY 08

YOU CAN'T TAKE US OUT IN PUBLIC!

We all had a great time inside eating dinner and then we went out onto the patio to take pictures. I laughed so much that I was sick to my stomach! Thanks Dad for being my dad and thank you soooo much for Mom!

THE LAUGHS KEPT COMING....

Make room for Sam!

OUR WALL UNIT IN THE FAMILY ROOM

I just found this picture on Taylor's computer of our family room wall unit. This shows the wonderful detail in the piece. Sam had to have a tv to fit.
